Okay lets face it, the party was more for me and I know Charlie won’t remember it…BUT…it turned out to be something MUCH MORE than just a party. Forget about the balloons, multiple cakes, and everything in between…there were SO many special moments that I will cherish forever.
As you can tell by the photos, I planned a carnival themed party for Charlie, filled with bright colors and lots of fun decorations such as TONS of balloons, carnival signs, clown noses…the list goes on. I bought all of the balloons on Amazon, but you can find a great variety of balloons at your local dollar stores! I chose to go wth the following colors for Charlie’s birthday:
*Goldenrod (I think this is a better yellow, it’s more golden and less bright)
* Island Blue
Instead of making food for 40+ people (because who has time for that), I ordered pizza, wings, coleslaw, and salad from a local restaurant and it was perfect. Charlie’s birthday cake and smash cake(s) were from a local bakery…They supplied our wedding cake and gender reveal cake, so it only seemed fitting to have Charlie’s 1st birthday cake provided by them as well.
Being surrounded by all of our family and friends really made the day special. Watching Charlie shove both hands into his smash cake with such happiness and joy is what I always envisioned for his 1st birthday. It was more special than I ever could have imagined.
I’ve linked his party decorations below:
* Carnival Banner
* Ticket Booth
* Directional Sign
* Popcorn Boxes
* ONE balloons
* Disposable Plates, Napkins, Cups
* Clown Noses
* Party Hats
* Cake Tablecloth
* Jumbo Lollipops
